Mirvaso works by constricting ( making smaller) blood vessels right under the skin's surface that contribute to the redness of Rosacea. The redness of Eczema and scars are not caused by blood vessels, so Mirvaso will not help.
Mirvaso works by constricting the microscopic blood vessels in the surface of the skin often dilated due to rosacea. It works in some patients with rosacea, but not all. Redness from a scar is likely not going to be changed by the mirvaso. Redness from eczema is caused by inflammation and would not be improved by mirvaso. It may even be made worse.
Mirvaso works for SOME patients with rosacea, but compared to lasers and old fashioned doxycycline and metronidazole, it is not a revolution in the treatment of redness. It works by constricting blood vessels. With scars the redness is due to dilated or open blood vessels of a large calibre. Mirvaso will not work in this situation. In eczema Mirvaso will most likely irritate skin, and make eczema worse. Dr Davin Lim. Brisbane. Australia.

Thanks for your question. Mirvaso and laser treatments don't cause more veins to develop, but perhaps what you are seeing is a sort of uncovering or unmasking of veins that were hidden within diffuse redness. The Mirvaso can help with general redness, and most experienced laser...
Thank you for the question. Mirvaso has been found to cause a rebound effect in patients. There is a new alternative that seems to be doing better: Rhofade. The treatment for rosacea is multifactorial - photofacial, sunscreen, avoidance of triggers, antibiotics, soolantra, etc...
Mirvaso can be good for a very few select rosacea patients, however this is not the be all to end all for rosacea. It takes a week or two before perfecting your Mirvaso regime- if its going to be of benefit. Rosacea is very complex and a tailored treatment program give the best results. This is ...
