Vbeam can't cause more veins and neither can mirvaso, I suggest a formal evaluation to see if there are any other options for you like the Pro Yellow laser. Best, Dr. Emer.
Thanks for your question. Mirvaso and laser treatments don't cause more veins to develop, but perhaps what you are seeing is a sort of uncovering or unmasking of veins that were hidden within diffuse redness. The Mirvaso can help with general redness, and most experienced laser specialists and dermatologists can treat the veins themselves with vascular lasers. It takes more than one treatment in many cases, so you will want to plan for a series of laser treatments to help improve the veins. Another option is fine needle hyfercation, in which a small, thin needle is attached to electrical current and placed right into a superficial vein. The current causes the vein to shrink down and temporarily dissapear, then it will gradually fade away in a few weeks. Ask your dermatologist about helping control your rosacea in general, and about hyfercation for your veins as another option.
I often recommend Mirvaso for patients who have rosacea. It removes the background redness for up to 12 hours. V-Beam laser is effective at treating broken capillaries and is the gold standard for treating this condition. It definitely does not cause more vessels. Please consult an expert. Best, Dr. Green
The Vbeam laser will not cause more veins. I have had many patients use Mirvaso and notice more veins. It is not that the Mirvaso is causing more veins to form but rather the Mirvaso fades the diffuse redness making the the red veins much more noticeable. Without Mirvaso you have the red vein on a red background so they blend into the background. With Mirvaso the red veins are now on a lighter background.
The treatment itself, namely Mirvaso or V Beam does not cause more veins. It MAY BE the course of rosacea. Sometimes it requires more than laser of a cream to control your condition. Diet, environmental factors, UVR all plays a role. Before and afters will guide us to give you some advice, but seeing someone with an interest in rosacea and has the access to BBL, V BEAM, 755 lasers and 1064 NdYag vascular lasers can help.
