One of my front teeth is longer than the other and it makes me like pretty insecure. I probably will need braces because my teeth aren’t that straight, but will it help with length for my two front teeth?

Most patients with tongue thrusts also have underdeveloped maxillas. Orthodontics does not address this issue. Expansion with a DNA Appliance will create a more physiologic state less prone to relapse.Tongue thrust usually have an underlying issue thar was noot corrected.
It would be quite a challenge to make an old, non-fitting retainer realign your teeth. Certainly not worth the time or effort trying. Just get a new "active" retainer, or even aligners to take care of any minor issues.
