How abnormal is this "black triangle"? (Photo)

I've had it ever since I've gotten my braces off four years ago. Is it just the way my teeth are? I'm talking about the small gap in between my front teeth but then the bottom are together. Is there anything I can do? Thanks, Hannah

Why do I have to wait 6-8 weeks to get approved or denied for braces?

It sounds as if you are on some sort of insurance plan that dictates who gets braces. If you are paying cash for your braces there is no acceptance or denial process. I would guess your insurance is the problem.
