Is it possible for birth control pills to cause new hair growth in spite of receiving laser hair removal treatments? (Photo)

Received LHR (under arms) for past 13m; 10 sessions: first 5 - 4w apart, next 3 - 8w apart, last 2 - 6w apart. Started bc pills 15m ago; Taytulla - 6m, then Vestura - 2m, then Nikki - 5m. Then, stopped 2m ago. LHR seemed to work well at first. Then, at 8w intervals noticed regrowth around 4w. Stopped pills and went to 6w interval, and have minimal new growth. Could there be a correlation? Want to start Vestura again for bc and acne, but do not want hair to start growing back.
