I have been getting LHR on my arms (including upper arms), i'm on my fourth session now. It is alexandrite laser, but everytime i get my treatment done the hairs dont grow back and shed at all until exactly 6th week after and they dont fall by themselves, i have to pull them out with my fingers, and between my sessions i always see my hair folicles in my skin so there are black dots on my skin all the time. i want to know if this means the laser is working or not? and if its normal.

This difficult to answer without pictures. Diode, alexandrite and yag lasers work best for hair removal. It will take a series of treatments and some people need treatments to maintain. See an expert in laser hair removal for best results. Best, Dr. Emer

It sounds like the laser is working exactly as it should be.  After a treatment it takes a while for the hairs to work their way out of the follicles. This can take several weeks.  You should not pull the hairs, they will come out naturally. The black dots are hairs that are coming to the surface.
