Will my orthodontist contour (shape) my teeth while my braces are still on?

Question

They told me that at my next appointment they would be shaping my teeth, but I thought that was done after your braces were taken off? Because I still have mine on.

I will do my best to answer your question with the information provided.Contouring teeth can be done with or without the braces on, so I wouldn't be too concerned.
