Can Lap Band be performed after having a tummy tuck?

I had a tummy tuck performed in 2012. I gained all my weight back. I am currently at 233 lbs, height of 5'4 and a BMI of 40. I was interested in Lap Band as a tool for weight loss. Would I be able to have the procedure done even after having the tummy tuck?

Yes, this is not
a problem and is fact a fairly common situation.  The tummy tuck is
performed on the skin, fat and muscles outside the abdominal cavity and the Lap
Band is inside the abdomen so there is no problem at all.

Is so frecuent that patient do plastic surgery before loss weight. I dont know is is your case but exits confusion and most of the people consider lipo and tt as a weight loss option and is a mistake. Plastic surgery is for improve the shape and aesthetic isnt for weight loss. Bariatric surgery including lap band, sleeve, bypass and others is for weight loss and not for aesthetic only.Yes you can  have a lap band but the truth is that in all Europe and rest of American continent this surgery is been reducing the use of this cause the weight regain that is almost half of the patients and the long time complication like a foreing body, slippage, erosion and reflux.  This is still use in US cause the fda approved it like 15 years or more after it has been using in others countries.In your case i suggest to consider the sleeve gastrectomy wich help not only with the amount of food, its reduces hungry feeling and anxiety.Try to contact an authorize bariatric surgeon for that, and always the first step is collect all de correct information.Good luck in this journey, and hope that this answer helps in your decision.
