Is it okay to put Latisse on the bottom lash line?

Is it okay to put Latisse on the bottom lash line? Will there be a difference if I apply the Latisse on the skin/dermis part of the lash line as opposed to the "water line" skin?  I recently read about rare eye traits describing "double lash" lines. Does Latisse create "double lash" lines?

Thank you for your question.I tell patients to apply to the upper lash line, then blink a few times and it will spread it to the lower lash line. You do not need to apply to the lower lash line.

Yes, you can put Latisse on the bottom lash line. Keep in mind, Latisse results may plateau. A combination approach is needed. In combination with Latisse, I typically inject and apply topically PRP for a few treatments at the beginning to improve the growth rate of the lashes. Take viviscal as well. Many of my patients do apply Latisse to their bottom lashes and eyebrows - wherever you want hair to grow - but there is a slightly increased risk of meibomian gland dysfunction contributing to dry eye with this. The "double" or even "triple" line of lashes is typically genetic. Lucky, right?

Latisse should not be used on the bottom lash. Application to the top eyelid is sufficient to stimulate growth on the bottom lash.

It is ok to administer Latisse to the lower lash line. In my opinion the best way is to apply to the upper lash line and blink multiple times to transfer tot he lower lash line. There is a small chance of pigmentation changes to the skin just above and below the lash line. I hope this helps, good luck!!

It is ok to put latisse on the lower lash line, just make sure it is on the skin and not water line.  Latisse is actually a glaucoma medicine that has the amazing side effect of making lashes grow.  If you put it on the water line it could get onto the eye and lower the pressure in the eyeball.  Overtime this could become a problem so just avoid it and keep it out the eyeball.  Another way to get it on is to mix some in your mascara and apply it directly to your lashes.  That way it gets where it needs to be and stays away from the areas it shouldn't be.
It will not create a double lash line unless you already have one.  Then it may make it more prominent.  It will not create hairs where there are none but it will make wispy hairs darker and stronger.
