IPL Damage - What are the best options to correct damage from IPL burns? (photos)

Question

2 years ago I went into my local beauty salon for an IPL pigmentation treatment on my chest for freckles and fine lines and they burned me quite badly. I've been in for a few treatments since to help fix the damage and even up the stripes on my chest, but then 3 months ago in June they burned me again and I'm back to square one! I'm devastated and I have no idea what to do. I can't show my chest, it looks horrendous and ppl always ask what happened. Confidence is shot. What do I do here?

sunscreen and patience and a year from now youll look fine. otherwise get another IPL to fix the pigment thats left behind. Chests are very hard they frequentl blister. Honestly the best office is probably the office that blistered you because they know what setting is too much. Its common. Good luck

Sorry to hear about your IPL experience.
Once healed you should consider going to a practice that has the Picosure laser. These are usually operated by medical professionals (depending on your state). Check out our website for more information.

You could also consider a prescription skin lightening cream - enquire with your local GP.

First, please go to a beauty salon for your hair and nails, but not for skin care. A medical spa with a physician is always best. The areas with pigment loss can be treated with cosmetic tattooing once completely healed. The dark areas may be lightened with product or chemical peels once healed. Please go only to a medical spa.
