I want to be able to buy the plastic snaps and insert myself avoiding the dental office expenses as I am living on SS income only. I thought once I got the snap in denture that was it....I didn't realize I had to go repeatedly back to have the snaps replaced. This is definitely a CON to this snap in denture. I know it must be a pretty easy procedure and that you may have to have certain tool. joan

Are 2 separate things,one is the after implant set, you need to be on soft foods, only 2 days, later on, continue as normal. and the other thing is that after placing implants you need to wait at least 3 months before you load them, its completely separate thing.
If you are still having pain in that area, the dentist MAY have drilled into the tooth when placing the implant which can be a problem. Consider seeing an endodontist (root canal specialist) to have him/her assess if the tooth has been affected. There could be other reasons for pain such a...
