Most patients resume normal activity by two weeks. However, starting activities like lifting and sports is safer after 6 weeks. This is also determined by how you are healing. Most important: You should follow your doctor's instructions. Hope this helps.
I usually don't allow my patients to lift anything heavier than 10 to 15 pounds for four weeks after surgery, your surgeon will also give you his or her particular post operative restriction list, please follow them.Good luck !
I suggest avoiding heavy lifting (20 pounds or more) for 3 weeks. If it hurts, wait, and try again in a few more days. It is important to discuss post-op instructions with your Board Certified Plastic Surgeon to best determine the down time that will be required for you. Thanks for your question. Every surgeon has different post operative protocols that vary from procedure to procedure--and sometimes even patient to patient! Best to ask your surgeon! Good luck to you.
It is very hard to tell from your photos what your surgery was but given the look and length of your incision I would guess it was a breast reduction. Numbness and tingling are normal post-op and eventually resolve. If your bra is rubbing on your scar during exercise this could cause some pain....
Any surgery on the skin of a patient with Ehlers-Danlos syndrome can present challenges. A breast reduction, which depends on the structure of the skin for support, would make those challenges greater. With that said, a breast reduction is very like to relieve neck, back and shoulder...
It is not unusual to have some wound healing issues at the joins of the incisions. As long as there is no underlying fat necrosis / infection / seroma this should heal relatively quickly. It sounds like your PS is treating you appropriately and this should all heal.
Yes this is possible although I would question why you need the lymph nodes removed. I would make sure that you have a correct diagnosis in relation to your lymph nodes prior to consider treating the lymph nodes and considering a breast reduction.
