Two weeks ago I had one of my molar teeth extracted along with a bone graft in preparation for an implant. I developed a dry socket and that seems to have cleared up. I am still in quite a bit of pain, my gums, my jaw and what feels like my cheek. I take Advil a couple times a day for relief. I went in yesterday and was told all looks good, however it is healing pretty slow. Should I still be in this much pain and be uncomfortable?

As long as the retainer doesn't put any pressure on the grafted area, you should be fine to wear it. For the graft to heal properly, you can't put any pressure on the area for several months.
Thank you for your question. The best way to answer this is with an in-person evaluation along with Radiological Evidence. I recommend following up with your Dentist or consulting a Periodontist.
