Is it harmful to use whitening eye drops after Lasik surgery?

Eye whitening drops should only be used in very limited amounts, whether or not you have Lasik. These drops cause the blood vessels in the white part of your eye to constrict, which gets the red out. Unfortunately, there is an effect we call "rebound", which means that when the drops wear off the blood vessels dilate more than originally, making your eyes more red! It is a bad cycle. Good for the drop company, bad for your eyes.
