Hi, Yes i agree, Cosmelan is a very good cream but you cannot use it for a long term as you may end up with minor side effects. You can always switch over to other lightening cream without retinol and hydroquinone for a long term use. Hope this will help.
Tyrosinase inhibitors ideally should be rotated. In high concentration medical conditions can occur. Be guided by your dermatologist. I personally rotate Cosmelan 2 with Meladerm or Melrarase, ideally Cosmelan in winter together with peels and or laser to markedly reduce pigmentation, then other products in Summer to maintain. As with any melasma treatment, one should approach it with science and NEVER marketing. Cosmelan is a good treatment for melasma, however like any other treatment for this condition it can worsen the condition. This is a risk that can be decreased by correct MEDICAL management of this condition....
