Would Emsculpt hurt me if I have a minor umbilical hernia from lifting something heavy?

Technically, your hernia could be treated with EMSculpt, but your physician needs to examine you first to be certain. It may need to be repaired first, or avoid placing the paddle over it.

It also could be that your hernia is too small or it is just a small piece of fat and not true hernia. The latter options are actually the most likely, but the responsible thing to do is to get it properly evaluated by your doctors. Emsculpt causes pretty vigorous muscle contractions and it you have a hernia large enough to allow bowel to get trapped it could possibly entrap bowel during the procedure. If you can’t feel or see your umbilical hernia then you can consider yourself as not having one.
They are generally considered a cosmetic concern only and typically do not cause any medical problems.
