I am Asian and have very coarse and black hair. I was told it absorbs laser energy much better than fine light hair. I consulted with some doctors. Some said it would damage hair follicles, so said it would not. Can any doctor who has expertise in laser or Picoway answer my questioin?

It is not abnormal to have some oozing at the laser sight. We often see this post procedure and put some xeroform gauze or vaseline gauze over it. We tell the patients to keep it moist with vaseline for a few days. It should not be bloody but may ooze some.
