PicoSure Focus for acne scars?

Hello! Today I had my 3rd PicoSure laser treatment on my face (3 weeks apart). I have few acne scars on my cheeks I want to get rid of them also I would like to increase collagen production on my face. . My treatment was quick and took about 2 minutes. Is that enough? How long does it take to see the results of treatments?

PicoSure is an amazing breakthrough technology for both tattoo removal and antiaging/scar treatment.For tattoo removal, the laser session can be very quick, if it's a small tattoo with topical anesthesia.  For large tattoos that we first have to inject with lidocaine for anesthesia, and have multiple colors so multiple wavelengths (755nm and 532nm) are used, each treatment can take 45 minutes or more.For antiaging/scar treatment, the laser session is done using the Focus lens.  This is more straighforward, no injections, one wavelength (755nm) is used.  If it is a small area (just a scar or 2), it can take a few minutes. If it is the whole face for increased collagen production/reduction of fine lines, it generally takes ~10-15 minutes.  It depends on how many pulses are used.  For antiaging, I will generally treat with 6000-8000 pulses for the whole face.

Thank you for your question! It all depends on the area treated. Using Picosure for acne scars requires less time and preparation than for large tattoes. Still if you are treating only few scars on your face then few minutes might be enough. The time required to see end results depends on your body since ebery patient responds differently and collagen production takes different pace. Best of luck!

Hello and thank you for your question. The PicoSure laser is has been developed and approved for tattoo ink removal, acne scars and any other blemishes you dislike. The PicoSure is FDA-approved and highly effective for removing regrettable tattoos and scars. Typically, one session for the face is about 10-15 mins. I recommend getting a in person consultation with a board-certified dermatologist.

Hello and I understand your questions. Remember always that the results of technology are always user dependent.  I require about thirty minutes for a full face Picosure treatment. This does not include the prep or the postcare.  I prefer to do my Picosure treatments two weeks apart although three weeks is certainly fine. Depending upon the severity of the problem, I would suggest an additional three treatments . Half of my patients see improvement after the first treatment. The rest see improvement after the second. It is possible but highly unlikely and rare to see no improvement.  Our acne scar patients usually are very happy after their initial treatment. Keep in mind that this laser is a stimulator and not a resurfacing laser.
