Thank you for your photos. It sounds like your skin has gone through a lot this past year and may be acutely sensitive to any treatments at this time. You may want to give your skin several months of healing and resting while protecting the skin from the sun to allow the skin to calm down and normalize. Retin-A may also help restore the health of your skin during this period. It is best to have an in-office evaluation to determine how to best treat (or not treat) your skin type. Hope this helps!

Dear Reba,It sounds like you have really been stressing out your skin.The first step is to protect your skin with Spf 30 daily. Avoid sunbathing. Good hydration and a wide brimmed hat.Take a break from skin treatments for now. Over time your skin will heal better.Best. Dr Brecht
