How do I fix my protruding upper lip? (photos)

Is there a way for me to fix my protruding upper lip without surgery? I have an overbite as well, is that why my upper lip protrudes so much? Thank you, any help would be much appreciated!

HI, thanks for sending your question.  When teeth protrude they can cause protrusion of the lips as well since the lips are directly in contact with the teeth.  Often when we correct the alignment of the teeth we can achieve nice optimal results with the lips as well. You should consider orthodontic treatment to correct the protrusion of the teeth. A comprehensive examination would be needed to help you further. All the best.

Lips are guided by teeth positioning. If there is an overbite, there may be protruding lips. Evaluation by your dentist should tell you if this is the issue and how to correct it. Orthodontics is the typical treatment recommended.
