How do you tell the difference between one's own cheek pad and the Voluma filler?

I had 1 Voluma filler put into my cheek, but it made my cheeks sag more. Thus, I would like it dissolved. The filler was placed in a fan shape on my left cheek and directly down into my cheek in various areas on my right cheek. When I feel my cheek, I can't tell the difference. If that is the case, how can the injector know what to dissolve?

there is no way to know you have to pick the area you do not like and use hyaluronidase and RF facials to reduce it down. typically voluma doesn't cause a section to sag, you may need skin tightening with thermage, threads, and morpheus 8.  Best, Dr. Emer.

It is fairly common to not be able to feel Voluma after it has been injected into the cheeks.  The product gets integrated with the normal tissue after a few days.  If Voluma needs to be dissolved, the physician who injected it will know where it was injected and thus can inject the hyaluronidase into that area.

Voluma has a particular firm “jelly” feel to it. It can be felt either with a finger or with a needle when inserted through the gel. An experienced practitioner would know exactly how to dissolve a cheek filler.
