Cheek swelling after lipolysis injection?

Question

My doctor injected me a very light and diluted formula of ppc in the cheeks and jaw line. This is now 5 days ago. He said that there would be no big swelling since it wasn‘t much medication injected. But the swelling was really intense on day 1 and 2. Now it is a littler better but the skin on the area feels chubby and extremely soft. It still doesnt look normal and is still thicker than my before face. Will this go back to normal? Can this be still swelling even if its so chubby and soft?

Thank you for your question!Unfortunately, it's difficult for me to say without a formal evaluation. Typically, some people experience swelling for a few weeks after treatment. Hello, thanks for your query. Lipolysis injection kill fact cells and produces inflamation which slowly clears out the cells. The duration of this reaction may vary between people from 1-4 weeks.  Follow up with your physician to check if there is no other issues with the injections.

When fat is killed, the body will clean it up in due time, but the process varies from person to person.  Usually one week is the average on going back to your original size but it may take longer.  Please get evaluation by your provider to see if your swelling is not more serious.  Hope that helps.
