Will bonding work to reshape my canine teeth? (photos)

Amazing some people love pointy canines some do not care for it!To reshape pointy canine might be accomplished by cosmetic contouring, but then it depends on your bite, how much reshaping is needed? if it is less than 1 mm , you probably can get away with reshaping. Do not recommend bonding canines, if in anyway it would help your bite do veneers.Stronger, less prone to breakage, and more color stable! and in the hand of an expert dentist, improve your bite! The type of porcelain used and the opposing teeth play a big factor in both cosmetic and function.

If you're getting veneers on the laterals, I would suggest veneers on the canines if you're wanting to change the shape. That way the shade will all match. Bonding on canines usually doesn't last too long due to how much you use your canines for chewing. Veneers will stay better and longer than bonding. That being said, I think pointy canines are fine and they don't need any treatment.

For your canines, no bonding needed. Your dentist can simply recontour or reshape your pointy canines by filing or grind some tooth structure away. We call it Enamelplasty or Odontoplasty.
