Can I apply Epiduo while undergoing rf microneedling?

I’m currently acne free, but I’m on Epiduo as maintenance treatment to prevent a relapse, what would happen if I apply Epiduo while undergoing rf microneedling, and if irritated would that go away? Thank you

Great question. First, I would always seek out the recommendation from the physician prescribing the Rx. Epiduo is a combination of adapalene and Benzoyl Peroxide. Both ingredients are safe to use in between having a rf microneedling treatment as long as the skin is free of irritation or open wounds. I would wait at least 48 hours prior to applying to entire face and stop the use about 3-5 days before being treated.

I think we replied to this before. YES you can use any products before RF microneedling but epiduo is one of the worst products for your face. I suggest you get on a better regimen and immediately post MNRF put on aerify mask it give s a better result AND prevent outbreaks.  Best, Dr. Emer.
