We get this question very often in our office when patients are deciding between veneers or Lumineers. Our office does very few Lumineers cases because we don't feel confident in the aesthetic results or longevity of them. We have many patients that come to our office with previously done Lumineers that constantly come off, chip, break, and need to be repaired. Most last less than 5 years. Generally the patients come to us to correct their smiles with a more permanent and lasting fix by techniques including porcelain veneers, 3/4 laminates, or crowns. There are new technology that is beginning where they have veneer/Lumineer-like hybrids that would offer a good intermediary between going completely permanent and having the lack of aesthetics that Lumineers provide.
