Does Picosure bring pigment closer to the surface initially making sunspot appear darker?

Hello and thank you for your question.  The answer is, Yes!  A PicoSure laser treatment for dark spots can cause what we call the appearance of "coffee grounds".  This is a result of the pigment raising up to the surface, typically it just flakes away after a couple of days.  The normal elastin and collagen regeneration process usually takes a few weeks, post treatment, so be sure to protect your skin with a good quality high SPF sunscreen, you should see your desired improvements soon.  All the best to you!
