The burning sensation is caused by nerve injury. Sometimes there is numbness, sometimes there is burning. That should all subside, but can take weeks or months.

I assume your talking about paraesthesias: abnormal sensations in treated areas: numbness, prickling, burning or hot/cold sensations. This phenomena is explained by the interruption in the normal nerve impulses as pathways get interrupted by removing a layer of fat.

It can take from 8weeks to 12months for the restoration of normal innervation.
