Will Invisalign help my overjet? (Photo)

Question

I had braces 7 years ago when I was a teenager and when I got them off, my teeth were straight but when you look from the side, the four front teeth curved out a bit, giving the appearance of a overbite. I wore my retainers, hoping it would push the four front teeth down, for almost 2 years but I lost it on holiday. And, over time my lateral incisors moved my central incisors forward and now I have a overjet. Can invisalign fix my overjet?

Something definitely went wrong after your last orthodontic experience!  Invisalign can correct this beautifully and then you must definitely wear a removable retainer for the rest of your life at night to prevent relapse. This retainer could also be done as a metal wire bonded on the back of front teeth to hold them in place and no removable retainer.  Be sure and get a thorough dental checkup as something else could be causing this relapse.

Just from looking at your picture I don't think not wearing your retainer is the ONLY cause of your problem. It sure looks like your original correction was less than perfect (of course I have very limited information)...I would go see a different doctor and get a second opinion before doing anything

Hi, Invisalign can definitely fix your overjet and probably in a short time frame. I think you should consult someone ASAP before they get any worse. Just make sure you either go for a fixed retention this time or don't loose retainer. If you do loose retainer, get a new one straight away.
