Looking for truly pain free Laser Hair Removal for dark skin. Too many practitioners say ND YAG is pain free but it isn't

I am male & dark skinned (Fitzpatrick skin type 5). I had my beard area done with ND:YAG Cynosure Elite laser (apparently with cooling action) in 2010. It was so unbelievably painful (practitioners say it's not- but it is). Had good results. I want to get my whole body done (including private parts) but can't imagine going through that pain. I see lasers like 'Splendor X' have launched - ones that combine wavelengths of ND YAG and Alexandrite - which laser(s) is 'truly' as pain free as possible?

Hello, laser hair removal is never going to be completely painless. There is some discomfort associated with the procedure but most machines do have devices to keep the skin cool which can help with some of that discomfort.  Being that you are a fitzpatrick 5, an alexandrite laser would not be a good option for you.  We use a 1064 wavelength (yag) for fitz 5-6 skin types.
