Bump on bridge of nose from cartilage graft. Is it possible to shave or rasp this down? (Photo)

Hi doctors I had revision rhinoplasty one month ago to refine nasal tip and add fullness to the right side of the nasal bridge. I believe the swelling has abated on the nasal bridge but the graft is very visible resulting in a bump on the nose. Is it possible to shave or rasp this down?

Please, do post a complete set of images, both sides, obliques, frontal, from below, etc, and I'll let you know. It is true there is a visible bump at the dorsum.More information needed: type and source of the graft? what was the origing or the justification to add fullnes ONLY to the RIGHT side of the bridge? Any previous rhinoplasties? ethnicity? The short answer to your question, is yes.  The graft can be shaved or rasped.  At one month post-op, however, I would advise you to follow your surgeons instructions.  Your swelling is, most likely, not gone at 1 month.  I would advise my patient to wait several months before any intervention.

Your bump on the bridge can be lowered by rasping or shaving the cartilage graft but you should not consider this until healing is complete. You're only 1 month post-op. Wait another 6-8 months.
