I'm 17 yrs old. Am I going bald?

So when I was young, like 14, 15, I didn't cut my hair for months and months because I liked long hair. One time I decided to cut my hair and I realised I can see my head, I was shocked, I showed my parents and they said that it's not normal... I am not just going bald on top of my head, the sides are also falling off. I researched into it, and I was told that it could be because of the way my hormones have grown wrong. Shall I get an appointment with my doctor and take a blood test?

Cortisone shots will not cause you to grow mustache or beard hair.  If you are missing hair there, it could be genetic and can be fixed with a transplant

If you wish, you can shave your head and then apply the minoxidil directly on the scalp.  It only works on the scalp anyway
