The Perma Facial Implant is an FDA cleared device for permanent facial augmentation. They are inserted into surgical pockets (tunnels) within the lip. Scar tissue forms around the implant. If the implants are removed, some scar tissue will remain in place. Generally, individuals who have the lip implant removed do not report the persistent sensation of stiffness or tightness. If that does occur, lip stretching exercises usually facilitate resolution of that sensation.Following lip implantation, if lip movement is minimized, the sensation of lip stiffness and/or tightness seems to be more prevalent. For that reason, we usually recommend that one resume normal lip movements (speaking, eating, gentle smiling) soon after the procedure, but to avoid accentuated lip movements (wide mouth opening, purposeful stretching) for a few weeks.

Lip implants will be stiff for a while.  I would wait as 2 months you are still in the healing process believe it or not. You actually get 60% of your healing at 6 weeks and 90% at 6 months but you can heal for almost 2 years from the original procedure. The stiffness will get better with time. But implants are going to make your lips feel a litte more stiff in the long run but you might get used to this particular feeling. But you won't know the difference until at least 6 months. 

Yes, unfortunately lip implants can make the lips feel unnatural. You are probably better off with fillers.
