Cracked Invisalign retainer, can I still use it?

There is a crack in my upper invisalign retainer. Its covers about the whole front tooth. Is it ok to still wear it? I only had this for about four months and my family is in alittle financial issues. I am going to the dentist next week but they told me retainers are about five hundred dollars each. I don’t want to replace it. Is it possible to still use it or ask dentist to fix the original one??

$500 per retainer is a little on the pricey. I am wondering if they are offering you Vivera retainers? With Vivera you get 4 sets of retainers. See if they can offer you just the Invisalign retainer for the upper arch only. 
Wearing a cracked retainer doesn't do very much, but it's better than nothing.

You could ask your treating dentist for a replacement Essix retainer.  They are typically very costly ($150-300) You could call other dentist offices and ask how much they charge for a single upper Essix Retainer.  You can still wear the cracked one but it may not stop tooth movement in that area of the crack.Invisalign has a Retainer program, maybe your treating dentist can set you up with that and could be less costly than $500!
