Can Latisse Make the Brown Dot in my Eye Bigger?

A few days ago I asked a question if my blue eyes can change darker or brown. I got an answer that Latisse could only darken the eyes if they already have pigment present. So my blue eyes can't change brown.I just look very closely into my eye and noticed a brown spot in my iris. Is this pigment? Can this dot turn darker or get bigger(can see in the picture) And my last question, can my blue eyes get more darker? can the darken blue part (circeled in the picture) increase and take over the light part?

	This is the most common question I hear and from the studies, I don't believe that they show anyone who has had iris color changes with applying Latisse to their lashes-- if this side effect occurs, it is very rare.  They saw these changes when the glaucoma medication was put directly into the eye.

Though listed in the FDA packaging information with Latisse, I have never seen this occur. Patients of all iris colors have used Latisse without changing their eye color at all.

	Though no one should honestly give you a "guarantee" this won't happen, your eye color won't change to darker blue, nor will the brown spot "take over" the rest of your iris!

	Rest easy, use Latisse according to the directions, and you will be fine (with beautiful longer, darker lashes)! Best wishes! Dr. Tholen

The brown pigment spot could potentially darken, but in reality, ONLY if you are putting Latisse directly into your eye on a continual basis and not using it as it states (on the upper lids only). I have many patients (hundreds) with light blue beautiful eyes, who use Latisse and have no issues with darkening of pigment at all. Use Latisse as directed and you will be fine.
