I would say it's coincidence. Laser hair removal only goes to the depth where the hair follicles lie, which is very superficial in the skin. It cannot go into the organs or deeper body tissue where you would have had a hernia or mesh. You could have had someone press very hard on that area while doing the treatment and this may not have been ideal; however, that would have been a temporary bruise and not something that had long term affects.
