Why do some dentists recommend Zirconium tops and PMMA bottoms? Reviews contain a mix of all Zirconium, all PMMA, and a different material on each arch. I understand Zirconium is more expensive. Does price drive the choice? Do the materials give an obvious aesthetic difference? Some say Zirconium makes "thicker" arches. Others say temps made of acrylic are thicker than the Zirconium permanent teeth eventually installed. Those statements appear contrary. Can you please explain? Thank you.
