Can a leaky lapband be repaired?

I had a lapband put in 2004, I lost approx. 165 lbs. In 2012 I had two strokes leaving my vocal cord paralyzed in Las Vegas, NV. I started gaining weight. I found a Bariatric dr here and went to get an adjustment. He said it couldn't fill it and that he believed it was leaking.

Your band can certainly be fixed, most leaking band leak at the level of the skin and subcutaneous tissue.  Therefore, fixing it is a small surgical procedure that can be done under local anesthesia.  The most appropriate next step is evaluation of your band under fluoroscopy, to make sure that the band is connected and the port is entered appropriately.
