If the marks are tattoos, they can be easily removed with a laser. If they are scars then any laser might make them worse. In Houston we have many Nigerian patients who we have successfully treated. Choose your provider carefully.
This is tough to answer without pictures. If these marks are tattooing, they can be removed with laser tattoo removal in a series of treatments. If these marks were made by scarring, they can be improved with lasers, microneedling/prp, subcision, and fillers. I recommend getting a formal consultation with an expert. Best, Dr. Emer
Thank you for your question! Yes. Tribal masks can be removed with laser tattoo removal. I would suggest you to look into Pico lasers and providers with experience who use Pico technology. The cost varies since it depends on the location of the provider and how many treatments you will need. Good luck. Best of luck!

I would recommend a 1064 laser if you are darker skinned. We use the picoway which is a 1064 and pico technology. This can remove tribal tattoos on skin types 1 to 6 excellently. If the tattoo is raised the ink or color can often be removed but the raised scarring may remain. Consult a physician.
This can be done with a laser. The exact cost is uncertain because that varies due to size of the tattoo, color, number of treatments needed, and geography. I prefer to use a laser that has both nano and picosecond capabilities and has multiple wavelengths. The Piqo4 is this type of laser.
