Hair loss treatment post brain surgery?

Dear Dr I'm a 38 Yr old male suffering from male pattern baldness (receiding temples). I was using minoxidil which helped however last year I had brain surgery for a colloid cyst and hydracaphelus. Since then I stopped using minoxidil and my hair is thinning very quickly. I'm still recovering and wanted to ask is it safe to start using minoxidil again.?

This is an important question that you’re going to want to ask your surgeon- especially if you feel you are still recovering from surgery. If you have headaches, dizziness or any recent scalp procedures in the last month then you may want to stay away from minoxidil. However, if you have no headaches and you do not have dizziness, then be sure to speak to your surgeon as starting topical minoxidil again may indeed be possible.
