Will braces fix my side profile/smile? (Photo)

Question

My mentalis muscle is very dimpled up.. My side profile of my chin is also very weak. This makes me very insecure about my smile and chin. I’ve done a little bit of research and think I have lip incompetence (which is why my chin looks like that. It looks normal when my mouth is open) but I don’t know what else. I will be getting braces soon. Will that fix it? Or maybe losing some weight? I want to have a normal looking chin, but I cannot do cosmetic surgery (against my religion).

In order to change your profile, as well as allow you upper teeth to come down over your lower teeth, you will need to have braces along with the removal of 2 teeth on the upper on 2 teeth on the lower.  When your front teeth fit together better, you will be able to bite a sandwich with lettuce on it.  (and not worry about the lettuce pulling out and ending up on your chin)  When teeth are removed as part of orthodontic treatment, all spaces are closed by the end of treatment.
Removal of teeth should not be considered a surgical procedure.  There are actually 2 different types of tooth removal, surgical and non surgical and fully erupted tooth removal is defiantly a non surgical tooth removal.  It is really not that different than you taking your own baby teeth out, only these teeth have a longer root when they come out.
You will really see and feel the difference when you are done with treatment.
