Dental implant is orange in color - can this get infected? I had them placed 3 years ago

I had a dental implant about 3 years ago and never got a crown put on. Can this get infected? I have no pain or swelling on the area. The implant is orange in color.

Hello. An implant located in the bone is usually not infected, but if you smoke, bone resorption and infection may occur around the implant. Therefore, if your implant arises into the mouth by prosthetic components such as healing caps or abutments, this will be even more important, so take care not to smoke and maintain your oral hygiene to the maximum extent.
