Is Radiesse safe for IgA deficiency (undetectable)?
35F. I am considering a non-HA chin filler like Radiesse, and am wondering whether it’s safe with my immune condition since it injects a foreign body. I have selective IgA deficiency (undetectable), which has been symptomatic my whole life (recurring pneumonia, cellulitis, folliculitis, UTIs, and multiple GI infections). I really don't want to be stuck with HA as my only option. I keep extremely clean, use topical HOCl multiple times a day, and avoid cesspools like public gyms and bathrooms. Apart from covid, I’ve been clear of infections for the past two years thanks to rigorous hygiene and avoidance of unnecessary exposures. Additional Hx: Algys: PCN / ceph (resp), tetra / sulfa / aspirin (fixed drug eruption) I routinely receive medical Botox / Dysport to treat TMJ and shoulder pain without issue.
