How to make beard transplant hair to lay down

If the implantation angle was done correctly, meaning the grafts were placed following the natural direction of beard growth, this issue is temporary.
During the first 6 months, transplanted hairs often appear coarse, thin, and stick out, as they are adapting to their new location.
Over time, as the hairs become thicker and heavier, they will naturally lay down on their own.

However, if the grafts were implanted at an incorrect angle (too upright or against the natural direction), some hairs may continue to grow outward even after a year.
If that happens, your doctor can assess the angle once the beard fully matures (around 9–12 months).

As long as the placement was correct, the final result will look natural and well-aligned with your facial hair pattern.

It's quite common for transplanted beard hair to initially grow in a bit unruly, especially in the first few months post-op.
