Should my temporary crown look this terrible? (photos)

I'm worried because I have been reading that a temporary crown is a mold of the old tooth, but this crown looks nothing like the other tooth! Dentist said it's only a temporary and the real one will be better but the shape is weird and the color is totally off!!

Hello, the provisional crown doesn’t look so esthetic but obviously your final crown will be the same. So make sure your final crown is good until you final all the treatment.

That is not necessarily true about the temporary crown being a mold of the old tooth. There is a possibility that your dentist did not have the correct shade for the temporary crown. Keep in mind temporary crowns are prefabricated and permanent are custom made. I'm sure your permanent one will look amazing.

Although I agree that the tooth is not pretty, or matching your other tooth, I would wait until your provider tries in the real one. Do not let it be cemented if you are not happy with it. 
The shape and contours should be easy to match. Color on a single tooth is always harder, but can be done.
