Can you tell me the effect of high ESR in blood? Does it mimimize hair growth?

Your  sedimentation rate is within normal limits. If the sedimentation rate is elevated it can mean that there is some degree of inflammation present in your body. Most hair disorders do not raise the ESR unless they have an inflammatory component. Find a hair loss expert. Have a good history, examination possibly biopsy and blood to determine your problem.

If you have copied the value correctly and your ESR is in fact 4.1 and not 41, you do not have an elevated ESR.  There are some conditions associated with a high ESR that are associated with hair loss and there are some conditions associated with high ESR that have nothing to do with hair loss. ESR is a very non specific test. However, conditions such as various infections, and especially the autoimmune diseases (lupus, rheumatoid arthritis, vasculitis) can be associated with hair loss. Other conditions including some cancers are associated with increased ESR but usually are not associated with hair loss.. But the ESR test is non specific and many times a cause can't be found in many patients with increased ESR despite the patient having a full examination. There are hundreds of causes of increased ESR.

Your ESR is below the top limit of the test according to the figure you posted but even if it were high, it would not cause hair loss in itself
