Does Minoxidil and Finasteride help to thicken hair?

i am using minoxidil and finastride from 8 month and i am looking more hairs are growing on crown but all are very thin.please tell me how many time it will take for thick hairs

The results of Minoxidil and Finasteride will differ across
individuals. One of the factors that can significantly affect the quality and
presence of growth is the degree to which the hair follicles have miniaturized.

During the very early stages of hair loss, it is often the
case that many of the follicles have started to shrink, but have not completely
lost their ability to grow new hair.

However, in mid to later stages of loss, the processes for
growing new hair have probably experienced a greater degree of impairment.

Usually the time frame for noticing results for finasteride
is about a year. Some doctors recommend observing the full effects for two
years.

If
you are not happy with the performance of your medication treatment, you may
want to consider undergoing a hair transplant procedure.

It generally takes about 1 year before you can be certain if minoxidil and finasteride are working  Finasteride stops hair loss in many men but only 40-50 % will experience an improvement. Similarly, minoxidil does not help all men - but can help up to 30% achieve stabilization. If you are worried about how well your medications are working, you might consider making an appointment with the physician who prescribed the medications at around the 1 year mark.
