Can I switch to minoxidil 2% after using 5% ?

In my opinion , it is impossible to predict whether you will have any decreased effectiveness due to a change in your minoxidil concentration. Minoxidil 2% was used for years , however the male concentration of 5% was always more effective. I would suggest adding a microneedle roller to the 2% to increase absorption. Hope this helps. Thank you for posting your question. Of course you can switch minoxidil strengths at any time, of course 5% being recommended for men. It is better to decrease the strength vs not using any, so it is still to your advantage. Hope this helps. 

Studies in the mid 90s showed that 5 % minoxidil is more effective for men than 2 % minoxidil. If you found the 5 % to be effective and switch to the 2 %, you may experience some degree of loss.
