I have my first laser tattoo removal done 3 weeks ago on my outer forearm. From last two days i am having pain from elbow to shoulders. I am also having little shock like experience in tattoo area while bathing. Is that normal. They have given me 3 weeks interval between sessions. Should i wait for more ?

Thank you for your question in regards to tattoo removal. Typically 6-8 weeks between each laser session is recommended. At three weeks your body is just now starting to break down ink partials from the inside, even though you may appear to be healed on the surface. To be sure what is best for you, see two or more board-certified providers in your area for a complete evaluation to make sure you are a good candidate and that it is safe for you to have treatment. I hope this helps.

Thank you for your question.  It is difficult to say exactly what is causing your symptoms. It may be that wound healing is causing the shock like symptoms when you bathe- there are superficial nerves and vessels in the area which may be reacting.  You should have the discomfort in your arm evaluated-there are many things that can cause this but infection must be ruled out.  You should wait a minimum of 6 weeks or longer between sessions as it takes at least that long for the pigment to reach the skin's surface.  Treating a tattoo sooner than this will not accomplish anything, will not speed up the removal process, and really is a waste of time and money.
