6 days post-op: my skin is getting worse after my VI Peel, is this a concern? (Photos)

I got a vi peel on Monday it is now Saturday. I had a scar on my nos that is now darker and larger. I barely peeled on day 3.. just like flaking around nose, mouth & chin. My aesthetician told me not to worry but it doesn’t look like it’s getting any better. Is this normal??

Thank you for your question. The peel can be applied just below the eyes and just under the brow but only 1 very gentle pass at the end of your peel applicaton. It is never recommended to apply this peel on the eye lids.

It sounds like you are having normal peeling. However the post peel protectant commonly stings during the peeling process. I advise my patients to discontinue the use of the post peel protectant and use a thin coat of plain old Vaseline instead. Rule of thumb after a peel is to stop using...
