I have high myopia left eye -7.50 right eye -10.75 . Should I just have cataract surgery and not lasik too?

With modern surgery you shouldn't need LASIK as well as Cataract Surgery. Cataract Surgery by itself should eliminate most of the prescription. The replacement lens implant is worth discussing. Making the distance clear should be very easy.But with surgery, you also have your only real chance for glasses independence for near and arm's lengths vision. Without a special implant, no matter what you see now, making your distance clear will leave you needing glasses for near and intermediate vision. If you have tried multifocal contact lenses before, and love them 24/7, consider a multifocal implant. If not Symfony is another presbyopia correcting implant.I prefer Crystalens since it doesn't have the negatives of the aforementioned implants (they do sacrifice a little contrast and can have some low light vision abnormalities.All good issues to discuss with your surgeon. You shouldn't need LASIK and LASIK before makes cataract surgery more complicated.

With a visually significant cataract surgery I would certainly recommend having cataract surgery rather than Lasik. You might also consider having a multifocal intraocular lens so that you may be also able to function at both distance and near without glasses. Having Lasik first would not remove the cataract, it may make your cataract surgery more difficult later and would not allow you to see both distance and near out each eye without glasses. You do need to make sure that your Graves Disease and dryness are well controlled prior to any eye surgery.
